Citrus High School Quarterback Zoey Houle Emerging as One of Florida's Top Young Playmakers

Some quarterbacks simply distribute the football. Others take over games.

Zoey Houle has already shown she can do both.

The Citrus High School quarterback from Inverness, Florida, turned in an outstanding sophomore campaign, finishing the season with 3,671 total offensive yards across 18 games. Her production included 3,105 passing yards and 533 rushing yards, showcasing the dual-threat ability that has become increasingly valuable in today's game.

Those numbers placed Houle among the nation's most productive quarterbacks, finishing 34th nationally in total yards, 29th in Florida, and 6th among Florida Class 2A athletes.

While the statistics are impressive, they tell only part of the story.

Off the field, Houle maintains a 3.4 GPA while balancing both flag football and basketball, demonstrating the discipline required to excel as a multi-sport student-athlete. She also trains with DSP Athletics, continuing to develop the speed, athleticism, and leadership that translate to success on the field.

As girls flag football continues its rapid expansion across Florida and the nation, quarterbacks capable of creating explosive plays both through the air and on the ground are becoming increasingly valuable. Houle has already established herself as one of the rising young athletes to watch in Florida's Class of 2028.
