Sipsey Valley Standout AP Virden Brings Elite Defensive Production to the University of North Alabama

AP Virden has built her reputation doing exactly that.

A standout center and defensive leader at Sipsey Valley High School in Buhl, Alabama, Virden capped off an outstanding high school career by signing to continue her flag football journey at the University of North Alabama.

Her senior season was defined by relentless defensive production, recording 101 flag pulls in just 13 games while serving as one of the team's leaders on and off the field. Her impact earned her Defensive MVP, Season MVP, and the honor of serving as Team Captain, reflecting the respect she earned from both coaches and teammates.

Virden's consistency also resulted in numerous postseason recognitions, including First Team All-Area Defense, Terrific 20 Honorable Mention, and multiple leadership awards throughout her high school career.
