For this Team Spotlight, I bring you the defending 2A state champions, the Robinson Knights.

Robinson just won its 10th consecutive state championship and continues to prove that the Robinson way is the right way. Even though the Knights won another state title, this season did not come without its challenges.

Senior quarterback Paige Halverson tore her ACL just a few games into the season, forcing Robinson to turn to junior Annie Keith at quarterback. Once Keith took the reins, the Knights never looked back. Robinson went undefeated after the midseason quarterback change and finished the season by winning the program's 11th overall state championship.

Keith finished the season with a 136.9 quarterback rating and a 77% completion rate. In the state championship game, she completed an incredible 89% of her passes.

Robinson's outstanding group of receivers was another major part of the championship run. Sarah Williams was one of the many standouts, averaging 83 receiving yards per game and finishing with 43 total touchdowns.

One player in the Robinson offense who is often overlooked is 6-foot-2 center Natalie Ashburn. She helps make the offense go with her blocking in the screen game, but she can also release and become the perfect checkdown option for any quarterback.

The Knights are not only an offensive powerhouse. They lock teams up on defense, too.

Robinson finished the season with 51 interceptions and 37 sacks. Leading the way in the interception department was defensive back Makyla Phillips. The Class of 2027 standout finished with 15 interceptions.

On the rusher side, Jala Hymes led the team with 24 sacks.

The numbers tell the story of just how dominant this defense was. Over a 22-game span, Robinson allowed an average of just six points per game while recording 10 complete shutouts.

The Knights will look to continue their state championship streak next season. With Florida introducing an Open Division for flag football, Robinson could see some new competition standing between the Knights and another state championship.

But after 10 consecutive titles, one thing is clear: the road to a championship still goes through Robinson.
