WEST HARTFORD, Conn.

As girls flag football continues its rapid growth across the country, few athletes have assembled a national resume as impressive as Northwest Catholic High School standout Isabella "Isa" Jubrey.

A versatile defensive back and wide receiver for Northwest Catholic High School and the CT Flag Lady Matrix program, Jubrey has earned recognition through championship performances, national showcases, and leadership that extends well beyond the football field.

Her latest achievement came when she was named the 2025 NFL Latino Youth Honors National Female Winner, one of the NFL's highest recognitions for high school flag football student-athletes. The award honors excellence in athletics, academics, leadership, and community impact, and Jubrey was selected from finalists representing NFL markets across the country.

Jubrey's rise has been fueled by success at every level of competition. She helped lead her team to the 2025 Youth Flag Football World Championships National Championship, captured the 2025 NFL FLAG Buffalo Bills Regional Championship, and finished as the 2025 CIAC Girls Flag Football State Runner-up.

Her individual honors continue to grow as well.

Jubrey was named the 2025 NFL FLAG Buffalo Bills Regional MVP, earned Military Appreciation Week All-American recognition, and received an invitation to the 2026 NFL High School Girls Flag Football Showcase, an event featuring many of the nation's premier players. She also competed in the prestigious U.S. Army All-American Flag Football Game, continuing to establish herself among the country's elite competitors.

Off the field, Jubrey has become an ambassador for the continued growth of girls flag football throughout Connecticut. National recognition has highlighted not only her athletic ability but also her academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to expanding opportunities for younger athletes. The NFL noted her work helping grow youth flag football in her community while recognizing her as its national female Latino Youth Honors recipient.

As the sport continues its rapid expansion nationwide, athletes like Jubrey are helping demonstrate the depth of talent emerging from the Northeast while inspiring the next generation of girls to pursue the game.
