For this Coach Spotlight, I bring you one of the most decorated coaches in girls flag football, Josh Saunders.

Coach Saunders is the head flag football coach at Robinson High School in Tampa, Florida. He also serves as the head coach of the U.S. Girls 17U National Team.

Saunders has put together one of the most accomplished coaching careers the sport has ever seen. He has more than 300 career wins as a high school girls flag football head coach and has won 11 state championships.

Even more impressive, Robinson is currently riding a streak of 10 consecutive state titles.

Every year, Coach Saunders challenges his team to keep that streak alive. As the expectations have grown and the pressure has increased, the Knights have continued to answer the challenge.

Most recently, Saunders led the U.S. Girls 17U National Team at the Junior International Championship, where the team fell just short against Canada. The following week, he took his Robinson team to Canton, Ohio, to compete for the girls high school flag football national championship.

Once again, Saunders and the Knights found themselves playing for a title. This time, they came up just short against back-to-back national champion Alonso.

Now, the focus turns to next season.

Robinson is expected to return 13 of 14 starters from its state championship team. For a program already carrying a streak of 10 consecutive state titles, that should get the attention of everyone in girls flag football.

The Robinson Knights are not going anywhere.
